HOWTO: LAN Party!

If you are reading this, it means that you got invited to one of my LAN parties. Here are some guidelines that will help you made a decision to come and prepare for the night.

In order to reserve your ethernet port, you must RSVP at please one night prior to the party. Walk-ons are available as long as ports are available.

We'll be playing a plethera of games, including (but not limited to):

• Warcraft III: Frozen Thrown
• CounterStrike
• Starcraft: Brood War
• Unreal Tournament

I employ an honor system for the licenses of any games that are in play. If you do not have a license for it, please do not play it.

Computer Setup

In order for your computer to work, you should have the following setup:

• A computer able to handle any of the games you are playing
• Windows 98, 2000, or XP. No Windows ME. Properly patched.
• TCP/IP protocol stack with DHCP enabled.
• Whatever game you want to play, properly patched.
• Headphones
