By the end of the summer, you will be able to purchase the pictures that are available HERE! I'm still working out the kinks in the purchasing system. BUT here is a taste of what it will look like.
So you like a few of my pictures. You want to be able to print them out and put them in a frame. But the photo quality of the pictures on here are so poor that it's just a waste of ink.
And then you have that annoying watermark!
Introducing PhotoPak!
You can purchase HIGH QUALITY, HIGH RESOLUTION photographs so that you can take them into your favorite photo developer and create REAL 4x3 prints. In order to get them, you'll need to purchase a PhotoPak. You basically pay for several photos:
Purchase Plans | |||
Cost | # of Pictures | $$ / Picture | Purchase! |
$3.00 | 12 | $0.25 | Purchase |
$6.00 | 30 | $0.20 | Purchase |
$9.00 | 60 | $0.15 | Best Deal! |
Within 48 hours of purchasing your Pak, you'll be allowed to select pictures from the site. You simply enter the username and password generated for you when you purchased the plan and within 24 hours, you'll receive an e-mail with your pictures!
Why do I have to wait so long?!
Since I'm not expecting a lot of traffic, I'll be handling most of the work
myself. Although a few things are automated, the actual e-mail sending and
setting up your account is not. So it may take me a while to actually e-mail
the photos.
What if my e-mail box cannot accept attachments OR cannot accept
attachments over xxx MBs?
A special link will be sent to you for you to download your images. You will
be asked for your username and password again. Please note that once this
page has been accessed, you will no longer be able to access it again. So
be sure to download the COMPLETE file before closing the window! Your
page will also be deleted within 72 hours AFTER the link is sent to you.
What exactly am I purchasing? Can I redistribute the photo and
claim it as my own?
Great question! Although you are receiving an photograph, you are actually
purchasing a license to print and store it. I will still own
the photograph. You are purchasing the ability to print and
store it. The license does not include redistribution. That means you cannot
store the photograph on another computer and allow people other than yourself
to access it. Doing so VOIDS your license and you can become subject
to Federal Prosecution.
What about gifts? Could I print out the photo and gift it to
someone?
YES! Absolutely! This is known as "transfer of ownership." You will, in
effect, be transfering your license to someone else. This, however, will
terminate your license and you must delete the digital image off your
computer. (By the way, it is not necessary for you physically give them the
license. The transfer is implied.
How can I give a gift AND keep the photo for myself?
Simply purchase two licenses. A special price break may be promoted in the
future for those that would like to purchase multiple licenses for one
photograph. In the mean time, feel free to ask me.
Where can I read the License?
You will receive a text copy of the license when I e-mail you with your
photographs. Please note that you are agree to the license when you download
the file. You can also read the license here.
